  • The DSM-5 is a handbook used by mental health professionals to diagnose and classify mental health conditions. Its primary aim is to provide a common language and framework to help us better understand where you are in your wellness journey.

It's important to note that a diagnosis does not define you. We are not defined by our mental health conditions, such as schizophrenia, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, or autism. Rather, a diagnosis is a way of describing your current health challenges.

Your prognosis, or the likely outcome or course of your condition, is unique to you. I will help you define your own prognosis, taking into account your unique biology, mind, behavior, and living environment that are constantly changing. Your prognosis will continue to evolve as we work together to break down limitations and advance our knowledge of the human body, mind, and soul.

By approaching your mental health journey with empathy and understanding, we can work together to achieve your wellness goals and improve your overall quality of life.

  • Medication can be a powerful tool in helping an individual achieve wellness. As a certified physician assistant I am licensed to prescribe and monitor medications. We will prioritize finding the lowest effective dose for you. This approach ensures that we achieve your wellness goals without overmedicating.

The lowest effective dose varies from person to person. While one individual may choose multiple medications, another may not require any. Moreover, the optimal pharmacological intervention can also change as one advances in their pursuit of personal wellness.

By working together we can find the right medication and dosage that best fits your unique needs. This approach ensures that we achieve your wellness goals effectively and efficiently.

  • I draw upon a broad array of therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of my clients. These encompass various techniques such as psychoanalysis, psychodynamic therapy, internal family systems, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and humanistic therapy, among others. I also incorporate other individuals, such as partners, friends, into our therapy sessions if necessary or desired.

Meditation is a practice that involves training the mind to focus on a specific object, thought, or activity to achieve mental clarity and relaxation. Along with your individual meditation practice, I integrate meditation into our therapy sessions, and create customized meditation programs using traditional forms of mindfulness meditation, behavioral activation, and visualization.

By combining these therapeutic techniques and meditation practices, we can work together to help you achieve greater emotional well-being and inner peace.

  • As a healthcare professional, I understand that it's crucial to have a foundational understanding of the principles that govern our well-being before embarking on any healing journey. Oftentimes, patients have expressed their gratitude, saying "no one has ever explained that to me before" after our sessions.

It's important to recognize that there are many ways to approach healing, and while nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle changes are some of the most commonly recognized methods, other options like, cannabis, psilocybin, MDMA, D-MeO-DMT, ayahuasca, LSD, ketamine, TMS(transmagnetic stimulation), EMDR(eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), hypnosis, Reiki, Ayurveda, life coaching, wellness retreats, and more may also be beneficial. My priority is to help you improve your quality of life and achieve your wellness goals by providing an unbiased and open evaluation of the risks and benefits associated with your choices.

It's important to remember that marketing and language can be powerful tools that can sometimes blur the focus of your wellness and shift the focus to financial gain. As your number one fan, I will always prioritize your well-being and help you make informed decisions that promote your overall health and wellness.

  • I do not provide any type of disability determination, SSDI paperwork, FMLA paperwork, or any other type of paperwork.
